Foxy Lady: The Magic of Wishes & Dreams Book 7 by Allie McCormack follows Harper O’Neill, a shy fox shifter in her late twenties, who is inadvertently caught on camera shifting while trying to rescue someone from a bear. Her carefully guarded life crumbles in an instant, and she is forced to flee to New York’s Hudson Valley in search of safety and anonymity. There she finds unexpected connection and community in the quaint town surrounded by others of her kind. It is there that she meets Nathan Burke, a gentle and grounded music teacher with an open-hearted approach to the supernatural. He offers Harper something she’s never truly had: trust without strings. The two must face all sorts of challenges, especially when the world becomes aware of shifters.
Foxy Lady by Allie McCormack is a captivating blend of paranormal romance and contemporary drama, offering readers a unique take on shapeshifter lore in a world where secrets are no longer safe. The Hudson Valley setting is atmospheric and well-rendered, with a cozy and slightly magical bed-and-breakfast vibe. Acting as both a sanctuary and a battleground for Harper’s transformation, we see a lot happen here. As tensions rise and the threat of public backlash grows, Harper and Nathan must decide whether love and freedom are worth fighting for. I found their mutual respect for one another to be such a strong point of admiration for this couple. The development of their relationship is so healthy and wholesome that you can’t help but root for them all the way. Foxy Lady is a gentle yet powerful story that blends myth, emotion, and real-world relevance. I think this book is perfect for fans of cozy fantasy, shifter romance, and character-driven storytelling.
