Fredonia Bound is an anthology comprising three short stories by SannaBlue Baker. Set after the American Civil War, Buried Where We Started tells the tale of Reverend Josiah Tallman, priest of the Ebenezer African Methodist Church in Johnsonville, Georgia, who provides sanctuary to two young men fleeing from the ruthless Colonel Farrell Winston and his cruel underlings, thereby changing the course of their lives forever. The Healing Stream follows a man traveling through the Great Smokey Mountains of East Tennessee who falls into a magical stream after his car breaks down and who must then find a way to save his mother. Fiver Dean is the story of an infamous art thief who has Interpol and the local Italian police hot on his heels, but an old albatross may be the one to bring him down.

Fredonia Bound is a captivating short story collection you are sure to love. Each account follows remarkable people finding themselves in extraordinary situations where they must overcome overwhelming odds to survive. SannaBlue Baker has a real gift for storytelling, weaving engaging plots with compelling characters that will keep you glued to the pages. I enjoyed every single one but The Healing Stream was my favorite and it was unpredictable. Baker manages to bring the characters to life in just a few pages, giving them distinct personalities and character arcs that make them feel like real people. This is a most entertaining anthology.
