Glimmers of Light by Roy M. Hiller follows Catherine Williamson, a young woman with a unique empathic ability. Upon doing various tests at the behest of her doctor, Cat discovers that her ability to feel what others do and the visions she gets are no mere coincidence but rather are a special ability linked to the strange activity in her brain. And it is with this ability that Cat and her boyfriend Nate will save the lives of those in danger.
Glimmers of Light by Roy M. Hiller draws you in with a unique premise and explores the depth of human connection in the most magical way. Cat's journey is emotional in both a literal and figurative sense, as she learns to navigate a world colored by the emotions of others. Whether she’s rescuing someone in danger or experiencing quiet, intimate moments of clarity, her ability to feel beyond the surface becomes a powerful force for good. I found this story to be so compelling, and the way Hiller brings this world to life is done spectacularly. Each scene is laid out and described in just the right amount of detail, allowing the reader to become immersed in the story while also connecting to the characters and their own stories. We see the events unfold from various perspectives; however, it is through the lens of Cat’s vision that we truly dig deep into the heart of what this book is about. Glimmers of Light is such a wonderful book, and I would love to read more works by this author.
