God Hears My Song by Heather Lean is a children's picture book about how God is all around us. This beautiful book is to reassure and remind children that they are never alone; God is always with them, no matter where they are. Children will not only enjoy themselves when reading, but they will also find themselves filled with hope, inspiration, and more importantly, love. So if you have a child who could do with a little pick-me-up or reassurance that they aren't alone in this world, then God Hears My Song is the perfect book for them!
One of the best things about Heather Lean's God Hears My Song is that although it is based on God, you don't necessarily have to be religious. The message of the book is still delivered, no matter what your religion is, meaning your child will enjoy and appreciate the book just as they would if it were a non-religion-based book. I loved all of the examples of how God is present, and I adored the illustrations by Yorris Handoko; they're detailed and fit perfectly within the book. Heather Lean is a talented author and knows how to create content for her target audience. Children will easily pick up on the message she is trying to teach. I want to wish Heather Lean and Yorris Handoko all the best in their next project, and hopefully, we will see more collaborations between the two of them. Congrats on a beautiful book!
