Dr. Lynsey Victoria's children's book, Goodbye For Now, illustrates the unbreakable connection between pet owners and their cherished pets. Teddy, the German shepherd, belongs to a loving human family. His best friend is Grey, a little girl who adores him tremendously. Grey and Teddy love going on all sorts of fun adventures. They practically do everything together. Grey enjoys exploring the world through Teddy's eyes. Regrettably, Teddy's health begins to decline suddenly. He gets taken to an animal hospital, where he is diagnosed with a terminal health condition. Grey and her family are heartbroken and do not want Teddy to suffer anymore. Discover how they navigate their grief and the loss of their beloved Teddy.
Goodbye For Now is a sympathetic children's story dedicated to persons who may have lost a pet and are having a hard time coping with that loss. Throughout her book, Dr. Lynsey Victoria beautifully broaches the topic of pet loss with sensitivity and empathy. Likewise, Valeria Kornus' illustrations are very calming and healing. This heartfelt story validates and honors the intense bond between pet owners and their pets. Readers will learn about the different stages of grief while commemorating their pet's memory.
