Two Hearts’ Christmas Mission by Tamara Ferguson follows Oliver Berenger as he relocates to a tight-knit Midwestern community to act as a guardian for his family. His sister, Mariah, is facing an aggressive medical battle, and Oliver is determined to shield his young niece, Amelia, from her toxic, scheming grandparents. While trying to figure out his next career steps, he crosses paths with Sophia, a resilient veteran who runs a local animal shelter program. Sophia immediately jumps in to help the family experience a joyous season, and sparks start flying between her and Oliver. But the family drama escalates when Oliver and a local investigator uncover a huge, shocking cover-up connected to the grandparents' past. Will Oliver be able to expose the truth and keep his niece safe from harm?

Two Hearts’ Christmas Mission by Tamara Ferguson is a romantic suspense story that skillfully defies expectations by linking its festive, holiday setting with a genuinely dark and shocking criminal investigation. For me, the true highlight of the book was the profound sense of family loyalty that motivates every single choice Oliver makes as he steps into his new role as protective brother and uncle. Ferguson populates the town with an endearing, interconnected cast of supporting characters who rally together as a real safety net, making the small-town environment feel authentic, nurturing, and deeply comforting. I loved the crisp, refreshing atmosphere of the Wisconsin lakefront, which serves as the perfect backdrop for the blossoming connection between Oliver and Sophia. The storyline flows effortlessly, driven by an urgent demand for justice and a beautiful message about creating a chosen family during life’s hardest trials. It is both heartfelt and gripping. Highly recommended.

Oliver Berenger looks into a civil career after eight years of service in the Navy JAG Corps. His girlfriend, Camilla, urges him to join her father's law firm. Yet, Oliver doubts that the proposed position would be the right choice for him. Meanwhile, he learns that his beloved sister, Mariah, has cancer. Oliver receives an unexpected offer and decides to move to Cristal Rock, Wisconsin, with Mariah and her young daughter, Amelia. Mariah's father and mother-in-law, the Kents, dispute Amelia's custody as their killed-in-action son, Jim, left the girl a solid inheritance. Sophia Atkinson is a wounded warrior with a broken heart. She rents a cabin to Oliver and Mariah. After a dramatic first meeting, Sophia and Oliver feel a mutual attraction. The Christmas season approaches, Mariah starts her treatment, and Oliver vows to protect his loved ones from the Kents. Will he succeed? And will Oliver and Sophia open up to each other? Two Hearts’ Christmas Mission by Tamara Ferguson is a treat for fans of romance, drama, and holiday fiction.

Tamara Ferguson's Two Hearts’ Christmas Mission is a gripping installment in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Series. The novel is multi-genre. Tamara masterfully combines a beautiful romance with a crime drama, adding a strong element of suspense. Yet, first and foremost, this gripping book is about love. I like that the author considers friendship between a man and a woman to be an important part of their relationship. Among other topics the book covers, compassion stands out. Sophia's and Oliver's hearts ache for the vulnerable Mariah. It makes the story especially heartwarming and inspiring. We chuckle, learning that Oliver doesn't realize how handsome he is. We admire Sophia for her inner strength and courage. The darker part of the novel explores the Kents' secret activities and is best suited to a mature audience. The novel is fast-paced. The twists and turns in the plot promise an unforgettable ending.

Two Hearts’ Christmas Mission by Tamara Ferguson is part of the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance series. Lieutenant Oliver Berenger has retired from his career as a JAG attorney. His girlfriend’s father has offered him a job in his law firm, but Oliver is forced to reconsider when he learns his sister is terminally ill. Instead, he takes a position in Crystal Rock, Wisconsin, to be near her and her daughter, Amelia. He is soon drawn into a family crisis when his niece’s custody and inheritance are threatened by her grandparents. Oliver takes up the fight to defend her, joining forces with his neighbor, Sophie, a wounded veteran. They work together to fight the threat while trying to give his family a good Christmas, but they didn’t expect the sparks to fly. Both are wounded in their own ways, but can they learn to trust each other and heal together?

Two Hearts’ Christmas Mission by Tamara Ferguson is a lovely holiday romance, a heartwarming story that offers a balance of family drama, holiday spirit, and romance. Tamara has taken a great deal of care in developing her characters, making them into real, relatable people who each have their own story to tell. It’s a well-paced, steady story filled with drama and romance, but at its heart, it’s a story of courage, trust, and healing. There are some mature subjects, but nothing that makes the book seem too heavy, and Tamara has done an excellent job of introducing them while maintaining a lighthearted feel to the story. There’s enough action to keep readers turning the pages, a little sadness along the way, but overall, it’s an uplifting story that will leave you with a warm feeling. Perfect for anyone who loves small-town romances and holiday stories.
