Jeanne Basone was meant for show business, whether it be her personality or her desire to perform and entertain. Hooray For Hollywood details how Jeanne seized the opportunity when it came calling, and she became “Hollywood”, a grappler for the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (G.L.O.W.). Jeanne was raised in Burbank, CA, a city that fueled her aspirations to go into the entertainment industry. Jeanne had worked a variety of jobs in her teens and early twenties, but when she learned about an audition for a new TV show with women wrestlers, she grabbed the opportunity. While G.L.O.W. aired for only four seasons, Jeanne was there for the entire run as Hollywood, distinguishing herself as one half of the tag team “Hollywood and Vine” or as a solo wrestler. Her talent, charisma, and appeal garnered her a huge fan base that is still loyal to this day. Her talent and sharp business acumen have led to profitable ventures years after G.L.O.W.’s untimely ending.
