Bryan Cassiday’s Horde is the sixth book in the Chad Halverson series - an apocalyptic story about humanity’s plight to survive a zombie plague that ravaged the entire planet and decimated the population. Left to their own devices, the survivors faced daily horrors and fought to stay alive, not just from the undead but also from their fellow humans. Horde has interesting and complex characters that are realistic and relatable. This action-packed novel is fast-paced and full of exciting twists that will keep you hooked! A pandemic that brings out the best and the worst in people will make any reader wonder how they would react if a zombie plague really becomes a reality. Fans of the Chad Halverson series will not be disappointed in this installment.
Horde by Bryan Cassiday is a page-turner! I love the complexity of its characters and it shows that some people are not just “pure evil”. The journey Chad Halverson took in this book was both harrowing and exciting. I’ve also learned some new terminologies which are really interesting. This story had me speculate if I would survive in a world ruled by zombies and if I had what it takes to survive. We’re so used to the comforts we have now that we take them for granted even with the COVID-19 pandemic. I also want to know more about Marta and how her character will develop. This action-packed novel kept me on the edge of my seat and I was constantly surprised by the turn of events. I sure hope there’s another book after this one and I will definitely read the previous ones in this series.
