In the third installment of the 'Soul Guardian' series, Elemental, Kara Nightingale, a guardian angel with special elemental powers finds herself in trouble once again. After being falsely accused of intentionally hurting another fellow angel in the elite special unit, Kara is also accused of being a demon spy and gets thrown in the guardian angel prison called Tartarus. And, although Kara has to fight for her reputation, it is also clear that there are angel traitors in the legion who want to harm Kara. In a race against time, Kara must find a way to save Horizon, the guardian angel realm from the evil demon lord ruler Asmodeus, who is also Kara Nightingale’s father. She has also to save mankind as a whole, and find a way to prove her innocence.
Author Kim Richardson’s book "Horizon" is amazingly well-written, if not better than her first two books in the supernatural series 'Soul Guardians'. The book "Horizon" is just as intriguing, exciting and a page turner quite like her first two books. As each chapter progressed, and the plot to overtake Horizon is unveiled, the fast paced action is not let down. I loved following Kara’s adventures as a guardian of souls who is also equipped with special elemental powers and to see how her forbidden relationship with one special angel unfolds. This, in turn, makes for a very climatic story and shows the readers what makes Kara the strong protagonist that she is. Avid fans of Kim Richardson’s 'Soul Guardian' series will not be disappointed in her Book three "Horizon", and will also find themselves anxiously awaiting book four that is hopefully to be published soon.
