Private Investigator Winston Simon is at it again. In Lethal Judgment, book two of the Simon Says Detective Trilogy, Simon’s on a mission and out for vengeance. When his fiancée, Lana, was shot and died in his arms in the first book of the series, Lethal Options, Simon swore on her grave that if it was the last thing he did, he would take down the Galendez gang who was responsible. Completing this task, though, is going to take some doing. The reader is taken on a rollicking, fun ride through one tale after another as we follow Simon through dangers in foreign countries and at home: drug cartels trying to get rid of him, illegal aliens’ being smuggled in, and more bad people who want to put an end to his life.

P.J. Lawton has a way of getting the reader involved with Simon right from the very beginning of the book. He writes an excellent, thrilling suspense story. If you have never read any of the Simon Says books, then I highly recommend getting all three in the series: Lethal Options, Lethal Judgment and Lethal Knowledge. You can’t go wrong with these three mysteries. I feel they would make a great series in a made-for-T.V. show, if they were kept to the standards of Mr. Lawton’s writings.
