Lucas The Lion Makes A Friend by Ana Cecilia Moreno is a children's picture book that tells the story of a lion named Lucas, who is the king of his jungle. Despite his status, Lucas is lonely and longs to have friends. Unfortunately, the other animals in the jungle are afraid of him because of his sharp claws, teeth, and big paws, and they don't know that he is sincere. Lucas searches everywhere for someone to play with but cannot find anyone. One day, he meets a deer and shows her kindness, which teaches him a valuable lesson about doing the right thing and being considerate of others. As a result of his new perspective and actions, he eventually makes a true friend with whom he forms a genuine connection.

Lucas The Lion Makes A Friend is a heartwarming story that emphasizes the importance of friendship, empathy, and treating others with respect and compassion. It also teaches children valuable lessons about understanding and acceptance. Lucas's journey serves as a reminder to young readers that true friendships are based on sincerity, trust, and mutual respect, rather than superficial qualities. The story encourages people to look beyond appearances and appreciate the uniqueness and potential of every individual. Ana Cecilia Moreno does an excellent job of conveying these messages with rhyming sentences and humor, giving the story a rhythmic flow and making it engaging. The illustrations are beautifully done, depicting the lush green jungle and bringing the characters to life. I enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it for parents who want to teach their children about embracing differences and being compassionate toward others.
