Maya Monkey is hungry so she gets out of bed in search of something yummy. She sees Mommy Monkey sipping her morning coffee as she goes to the kitchen to have breakfast. Maya and Mommy Monkey decide to cook together. Mommy Monkey asks Maya to wash her hands, put on her apron, and tie her curls. She lights the stove and turns the heat on low, and she tells Maya eggs taste best when they are cooked nice and slow. Maya pours the creamy mixture of two whisked eggs together with salt and pepper, and little cream into the pan. She dabs a little bit of butter and towards the end sprinkles some cheese on it. Maya is excited that she made her own breakfast.

The recipe at the end of the book is easy and children can use it to try their hand at cooking. The illustrations by Anastasiya Rudyk breathe life into the characters and the story. making it appealing to readers. Maya's character is charming and she will win the hearts of readers with her cuteness and delightful behavior. The rhyming verses give a good pace and movement to the story and give the story fluidity while reading. It is definitely a book for children who want to try cooking and do not know how to start. Maya Monkey's easy-to-make scrambled eggs recipe is easily done.
