There is a big increase in the number of single fathers in the United States, and all over the world, but there is very little literature geared towards helping these men master the parenting game. This book is intended to help single fathers by equipping them with the necessary skills needed for successful parenting. Lee Thomas provides insightful information to help fathers be good parents through balancing the different roles in parenthood, which include being a parent, a teacher, a disciplinarian, a role model and a friend among others. Henry Lee Thomas takes you through the different stages of parenting, pointing out the different areas of challenges and including what may differ for male and female parents and why.

Men's Guide to Being a Single Parent: Different Animal Than Women Single Parents by Henry Lee Thomas is an insightful and practical guide to parenting for single fathers. However, much as the book is written for single dads, I found it to also be applicable to any parenting situation; single dad, single mum or two parents. Henry Lee Thomas writes from his personal experience as a single father and this gives the book a personal feel and makes his writing easier to connect with. The book is very informative and the advice feels very genuine and can easily be related to real life parenting circumstances. Men's Guide to Being a Single Parent really gives you the ABCs of parenthood in a well laid out format and easy to follow advice.
