Never Forgotten Love (Second Chances Series Book 1) by S.M. Stryker is a contemporary romance about forgotten loves and second chances. Beckett had a tough past that included physical abuse by a parent. The only thing that got him through his childhood was his best friend Harlow. Harlow was beautiful but also tough, and the best friend a boy could ever have. When they separated, they promised to keep in touch, but, like many people, they lost touch with one another. But Beckett never forgot about Harlow. Ten years later, when he'd gained the self confidence he needed to tell Harlow how he really felt, he went searching for her - only to find that she was off the grid. Can Beckett find Harlow to tell her how he truly feels? Will he ever find out if she felt the same way about him, or was she able to move on in ways that he can't? Or did his miss his one opportunity for true love?
Never Forgotten Love is a sweet story about a touching friendship that ends up being so much more than that. I think most people wish they had friends like Beckett and Harlow. S.M. Stryker has done such a great job of making these characters come right off the page and speak directly to us. I felt like I knew both of these characters and I was rooting for them to get their happily ever after.
