Nina is a gifted artist who creates canvas images that astound people. Her work has had a significant effect on people and her unique gift for creating images of couples in different love positions has garnered a lot of respect for her as it has also saved relationships. This Indian girl who lives in New Zealand has garnered so much admiration that her face is on billboards and in magazines and people stop her to ask for her autograph. On the day she is to present her work to an audience of journalists, celebrities, VIPs and distinguished guests, she falls, hitting her head just as she is about to greet her audience. She goes into a coma. As she lies unconscious in a private hospital, her sister tells her story.
I love narratives with plot elements that showcase the author’s ingenious creativity and Nina's Art by Carol Jackson is one such work. The author takes readers slowly into the story and introduces a character they will want to meet. This is a brilliant story that showcases the power of art. The originality of this story is in how the author uses art as a tool to get couples to strengthen their love. Nina’s gift of incorporating the love story of the couples she paints allows them to identify their unique connecting element. It features stories from different couples and from different backgrounds, each relationship threatened by a unique danger. I enjoyed the unusual plot, the exciting characters and the concept behind the story. Carol Jackson brings art to life in this narrative and gives readers a fresh perspective on painting. Nina's Art is a hugely entertaining and delightful read.
