The excitement quickly fades following a deadly balloon crash, which sets off a chain of events throughout Victorian London. This creates a daring mystery fit for young H.G. Wells and his closest friends as they band together to find answers while international aeronauts engage in fierce competition for who shall rule the skies. The story is a creative way to introduce children to the steampunk genre while also engaging them with history. The book also features short biographies for some of the historical figures, which can further their understanding of the setting.
This delightful historical setting brings to life a fun-filled mystery and an invention-focused adventure. The story feels like stepping into the past and entering another world where you hang out with young H.G. Wells.
