Entering the world of online dating, whether you are widowed, divorced, or single can be a daunting prospect. How can you be sure you are even emotionally ready to begin a new relationship? Are you being prevented from taking the first step into the dating world by negative self-talk? Although Dr. Jordan Alexander is now happily married, she has experienced the best and worse of finding love on the internet. Firstly, her step-by-step guide, Real Me Better We, will build a strong foundation of self-confidence and an appreciation of your self-worth and unique qualities. Then follow her proven techniques to find a partner that shares your values and expectations so you can find a long-lasting relationship in the shortest possible time. Learn how to set and maintain healthy boundaries, recognize the warning signs, and discover how to compile an appealing dating profile. With online dating increasing rapidly over the last two decades, this comprehensive guide will ensure you are fully prepared to choose your next date intelligently rather than leaving your relationships to chance or luck.

Real Me Better We by Dr Jordan Alexander is such a concise but detailed guide that covers every aspect of building strong and meaningful relationships. I loved the extensive self-improvement section as this will give the reader a strong sense of self-worth and confidence to find the love that they deserve. The exercises throughout were fantastic with questions that encourage deep self-reflection and give clarity to the type of relationships they are searching for. The guide also dispels many myths surrounding online dating and essential steps to protect you from online predators and scammers. The techniques are easy to implement but extremely powerful and helpful. Real Me Better We focuses on building long-lasting relationships that match your expectations. The progress chart was an excellent addition to the guide too. I thought the chapter on building a noticeable profile using the Fab Five profile essentials was really helpful. However, my favorite chapter was regarding attachment style; the information was so insightful. There is so much information, techniques, and self-analysis questionnaires included in this guide that anyone contemplating online dating will have a fantastic foundation to help them find a compatible partner. A highly recommended read.

Real Me Better We by Dr. Jordan Alexander is a comprehensive dating guide to “Finding Authentic Love Online.” Dr. Alexander begins with an introduction and an overview of what readers can expect, including a pep talk of affirmations, an overview of the ascendency of match sites and apps, and how they overhauled the dating landscape, as well as the steps to Dr. Alexander's Heartsmart Way. The book is then broken down into three parts. Part one helps the reader put all their ducks in a row to ensure readiness, decoding of style, and pro tips for swatting away intrusive outside elements that can hinder and harm. Part two centers on assessment, determining exactly what you want and not bending for deal-breakers. Part three is the action stage, followed by refreshers and developmental exercises to stay on track.

Dr. Jordan Alexander does a fantastic job twisting the self-help online dating genre into something practical and pretty darn easy to implement in Real Me Better We. Reading it on the heels of worldwide lockdown only made the message more potent, particularly on the topic of virtual dating, which Dr. Alexander effectively guides readers through. I liked the worksheets interspersed throughout the book: Table Talk Topics was a particular standout. Writing down what we love about ourselves, while often challenging, somehow feels less daunting when friends are involved in answering the same about you. I also found the exercise on visualizing your partner to be a meditative experience, and intentional manifesting was incredible. It's a different world out there, but there's no need to worry: Dr. Alexander knows exactly what you need. Very highly recommended.

Real Me Better We: A Guide to Finding Authentic Love Online by Dr. Jordan Alexander is a powerful and revealing self-help guide to better online relationships. This is the perfect resource to use if you are looking online for a partner. The secret, according to this renowned author and relationship expert, is to get real. With online dating, you never know what or who you're going to get because of the nature of online communication and scams. People can lie and say things about themselves that aren't true, but even if you meet Mr. or Ms. Right online, where do you go from there? Maybe the fault isn't in being too particular or having too high expectations, but in not knowing the building blocks of relationships. Alexander will show you that online dating can be successful, and you may be one of those success stories. It begins with altering how you relate to others and the way you date. In a ten-step process, the author outlines advice for dating success. You'll learn how to present the right, welcoming attitude to accept a romantic relationship; you'll find and change the patterns and stumbling blocks that keep you from seeing the suitable mate; you'll figure out what your definition of a good relationship is, learn to gain confidence, and navigate your way around the digital dating world.

Alexander has created a fun, educational, and most of all, useful online dating guide. The main idea is to get real and get to the heart of what's been holding you back. This book is inviting and engaging, with lots to ponder and plenty of takeaways, all with a nonjudgmental attitude. The best part is that she shares her personal history - she's been there and done that - using her online experiences and relationship failures and success to help others. I especially like how she focuses on taking responsibility for your choices and being proactive in the dating scene. The part on the chemistry of attraction is interesting too. The content is fresh, the layout easily digestible, and interactive written exercises for you to complete to help you assess things. This year, if you read just one relationship book, make it Real Me Better We by Dr. Jordan Alexander.

Love takes two. It starts with you. It sounds good in theory and practice, but only if everyone else is playing by those same rules. Real Me Better We will remind you that online dating sites claim it’s okay to look because you’re not the only one looking. Unfortunately, looking for real love online is not for the cynical and faint of heart. But the good news is that you don’t need to kiss many frogs to find the right person, and Dr. Jordan Alexander is here to help in her book Real Me Better We: A Guide to Finding Authentic Love Online. Founder of Love Assist Associates, Dr. Jordan combines her thirty years of experience as a business consultant with evidence-based research and case studies from coaching clients and singles to improve or find healthy relationships. Her ten simple steps provide the training to use what is within your control to ensure relationship success. There is no masking your true self.

The HeartSmart Way highlighted in this book sets the bar for realistic expectations about finding love online. While we have all been confined in the comforts of our home, online connections have become an ever-increasing part of our personal needs. With that in mind, Dr. Jordan Alexander writes in a friendly and professional tone like a therapist you can trust. She ensures that you consider what is essential by identifying what you want and what you need to find 'the one.' They say that an ideal man or woman doesn’t exist, and this certainly rings true, given that we are all fallible creatures. Real Me Better We can help you to identify the obstacles in finding a love connection. It doesn’t guarantee that you will find the ideal one, but it can help you discover a more honest, open, and better version of yourself. This, in turn, will help set the stage for you to find a meaningful relationship online.

Theorizing that most fail at love because relationship education is not compulsory, Dr. Jordan Alexander intends to change this through her book Real Me Better We. The author herself had experienced a fair amount of failed romances, including a learner driver dating disaster, before settling down in a happy marriage. Jordan explains how she managed to go from single to success in ten simple steps in her own words. By reading this book, you will unlock the attitude and mindset to welcome love into your life, discover how your past patterns and blind spots are holding you back, reveal relationship essentials to get yourself relationship-ready, clarify what you define as a successful relationship, grow your confidence as a dater and effective user of digital tools, and more.

Right off the bat, Real Me Better We starts with a quiz to assess its reader's readiness for a relationship. I love how Dr. Jordan Alexander saw this as a necessity as not everyone is on the same page. It makes the book incredibly personalized. Having also struggled with doubts and insecurities, I found it refreshing to see Dr. Jordan dispel some of those doubts and help me reconstruct my beliefs about relationships. By including case studies, the love and relationship belief models, and other visual learning tools in the book, Dr. Jordan makes the information easy to remember and understand. The quizzes and exercises within the book helped me engage and reflect on my behaviors and beliefs about relationships. If I could take away only one thing from this book, it would be the quote: 'Intentional dating is meeting people with a purpose and a plan.'
