Sherri the Shrimp Saves the Day by George J. Linsenmeyer, III is a wonderful kids' book with amazing illustrations by Carolyn Hampton. It's a fun story for kids, but it is also educational, teaching them a few life lessons along the way. Most importantly, it teaches them that determination is key to winning the day. It's about friends pulling together and showing that size doesn't matter – sometimes the smallest can be the strongest. The animal characters in this story have human-like personalities, making them likable and easy for kids to relate to. This is a great way of teaching kids about life; fun stories centered around animals are easier for kids to grasp and make learning more enjoyable. This is a lovely story, with illustrations that help bring it to life. Highly recommended for kids and their caregivers and should even be included in school reading sessions.
