Tove Torv is a hacker extraordinaire. She can make your life miserable with a few clicks and keystrokes. Her unique skill has landed her in multiple jobs including being an undercover agent. A bomb threat is set to have been communicated online. Interpol agent Jack solicits Tove's help on this case in exchange for something that she needs. With only a few days for Christmas, Tove uncovers secrets, false identities, and other suspicious details in the organization she pretended to be part of. Little did she know that her probing had so many implications and consequences that are beyond her control.
Having a kick-ass female protagonist, who is adept in the world of technology and gaming, is what pushed me to finish this book. And boy, didn't I finish it in no time! It was a page turner from beginning to end. I love Tove's witty character. Her own quirkiness along with her moments with her pug Q provided hilarious entertainment. I like the fact that it is as fast-paced as the internet world. It has multiple story lines, including one about her sister Anna. These back stories added more interest to the novel. N.P. Statham knows how to keep her audience hooked to the story without compromising its quality. She created a character whose computer abilities show that women are capable of existing in a male-dominated world and be crazy good at it. Statham will definitely give you a wild ride in this novel which I can only describe as nothing short of brilliant.
