Tell Me Your Plans is a work of fiction in the interpersonal drama, women’s fiction, and slice-of-life genres. It is best suited to mature readers owing to some sexual references and non-graphic mentions of assault. Penned by author team Torres and Firsht, the work delves into the life of Veronica Rubio, a driven 26-year-old navigating the competitive world of high finance in Los Angeles. Guided by her mantra ‘Luck favors the prepared,’ Veronica focuses on her career, eschewing romance until she turns 30. However, her resolve is tested when she meets Felix Rivas, a charming game designer from East L.A. Their encounter sparks a series of decisions that challenge Veronica's carefully crafted plans, leading to unexpected consequences and a reevaluation of her priorities.

Author team Torres and Firsht have crafted an engaging exploration of ambition, romance, and the complexities of modern life that raises a lot of interesting and important issues for women today. Veronica's character, though flawed, is compelling and relatable, evoking empathy as she grapples with the pressures of her career and the unexpected twists of fate. I found the close narrative style highly effective as it let us into Veronica’s heart and mind, showcasing her shifting attitudes and the way the events of the plot impact her emotional growth. The authors skillfully weave together themes of ambition and love with a great sense of balance, highlighting the tension between personal aspirations and the pursuit of happiness and fulfillment in the modern age. Veronica's journey is sure to resonate on a deeper level thanks to the masterful control of speech and thought presentation, prompting reflection on the nature of success and the importance of remaining true to oneself amidst life's uncertainties. Overall, Tell Me Your Plans is a captivating read that offers both entertainment and insight into the human experience, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to fans of intelligently penned women’s drama everywhere.

Tell Me Your Plans by Torres and Firsht is a captivating exploration of ambition, love, and the unexpected twists life throws. Veronica Rubio is a driven and complex protagonist whose journey from meticulous planner to navigating the unpredictable turns of fate keeps readers hooked from start to finish. Veronica believes that “Luck favors the prepared,” and she builds her life around that principle. At twenty-six, she is not pressed to get into a relationship. She wants to develop her career. However, the encounter with the free-spirited Felix Rivas changes Veronica’s life trajectory in a way she never expected. Felix is not entangled in the stress of a cut-throat, competitive business world, living life as it comes. When things seem perfect for them, ghosts from the past resurface, and with a baby in the way, can they weather the storms together?

The authors have created characters that readers will adore. Veronica's internal struggles with external challenges are so realistic and finely drawn that they draw readers into her world, creating a relatable and compelling narrative. Veronica's interactions with Felix provide a refreshing contrast to her structured world, challenging her beliefs and forcing her to confront uncomfortable truths about herself. The richly drawn characters—from Veronica's colleagues at the investment firm to her childhood friend Stella—make this novel a unique story. The relationships are ingeniously written, and readers will enjoy the people around Veronica, especially Nina, whose presence is like a shield against the turbulence of emotions coursing through Veronica. Through Veronica's journey, the authors invite readers to reflect on their values and priorities, prompting important questions about love, sacrifice, and the pursuit of success. I enjoyed the dazzling prose, the twisty plot, and the unforgettable characters in Tell Me Your Plans. Torres and Firsht have just won a new fan.

Torres and Firsht bring us realistic women’s fiction in Tell Me Your Plans. Raised in Nashville, Veronica Rubio now lives in Los Angeles, California. At 26 she is working as a financial analyst at BFB and is at the top of her game. She has a detailed plan for her life, and at the moment, dating isn’t really a part of it. Felix Rivas comes crashing in; a carefree games designer who lives each day with no care for the future. With his charm and good looks, he sweeps Veronica off her feet. After all, they say opposites attract. Building on their relationship as well as a new business venture, Veronica believes she is finally on track with her goals in life. But then it all comes tumbling down.

In this collaboration, authors Torres and Firsht have created interesting and relatable characters right from the start. With a prevalent theme of balance and harmony, they keep the scales tipping from side to side. This sets a pounding pace that will make it impossible to stop reading. Stimulating the senses on multiple levels, you will be wholly immersed in this book. Small characteristics make all these players relatable. The third-person narrative enables you to be privy to some intense thoughts and feelings. Although not suitable for younger readers due to some sensitive topics, this novel touches on quite a few delicate issues. Tell Me Your Plans is indeed a beautifully crafted quilt of intricate human emotions that will show you just how fragile but strong we all can be.
