At the start, Jimmy struggles with the emotional distance between himself and Annison, who no longer remembers their bond after a life-saving miracle erased her memories. While Annison focuses on learning witchcraft from Jade, Jimmy searches for ways to reconnect with her. Their visit to Aunt Ethel in the Upper World becomes a turning point, allowing Annison to see new sights and learn more about the wider universe. Along the way, the pair encounters a wounded fawn whose life hangs in the balance. With Jade’s magical knowledge, Jimmy performs a healing spell that saves the young animal and strengthens the trust between him and Annison. What begins as a simple visit soon becomes a larger adventure involving starships, interplanetary travel, and unexpected dangers.
