Eight-year-old Sola and her younger brother Jackie had just moved to a new home with their family. While visiting a bookstore, Sola decides to buy a mystery book called The Adventures of the Magic Rose and the Magic Crown. However, when she starts reading it in her room, the book glows brightly and tries to suck her into it. After she calls Jackie to her room to see what was happening, Jackie dives into the book. Sola is left with no choice but to follow Jackie to wherever he had gone. They find themselves in a place called Magic Town. Find out what will happen to Sola and Jackie in Magic Town in Arushi Bhattacharjee’s The Adventurous Kids: A Mission in the Magic Town.
The six-year-old Arushi Bhattacharjee undoubtedly has a knack for weaving enthralling tales for lovers of children's fantasy and adventure stories. This young author dropped me right in the middle of the wonderland called Magic Town. The images that accompany the story add color and Arushi develops the characters wonderfully. Jackie is impulsive and tends to do things before thinking them through. On the other hand, Sola is more thoughtful. While they are different in many ways, both are intelligent and brave. Among many other things, The Adventurous Kids will teach children the power of unity and working together. There is suspense, adventure, action, thrills, and more in this book.
