He has been living among us for over four decades. He is a demon hunter sent from the depths of hell. Cadence's sole purpose on earth is to vanquish demons that manage to escape the eternal fires of hell and send them back to his father, Lucifer. Now he might be up against a force darker and more powerful than any he had previously encountered. A demon called the Dark Synn is on the loose after 300 years in Lucifer's eternal fires. But the Dark Synn's freedom indebted him to a young demon witch called Jenny, who seeks revenge on Cadence. There is no one better for the job than a demon whom even Lucifer considers powerful. Even worse, Cadence has fallen seriously ill after a bloody fight with a vengeful ancient witch. The darkness will not back down until Cadence is dead, but as he is the Prince of Hell, he won't hesitate to strike back. Pick up a copy of The Ancient Sword and the Dark Synn: Book 3 by Henry Regnault to join Cadence as he fights this evil.
Henry Regnault transports you from the comfort of your chair to the witches' meeting taking place at dawn in a graveyard. You then feel your face getting hotter as you watch the shadows of Lucifer's three-foot horns on the fiery walls of hell. This is a world where, when you enter it, you do not want to return to reality. The vividly described fast-paced action will keep you turning pages from the beginning. What I liked most is the interpersonal relationships between the characters that readers see develop from distant acquaintances into friendships that are more like family. Friends will go to great lengths to protect those closest to them. The instance where Cadence rushed to help Tidus without caring about his safety or the danger involved struck a chord. With all the darkness looming and demons and dark angels as friends, you can't trust anyone fully. If you are searching for a fast-paced action read to take you through the night, then The Ancient Sword and the Dark Synn is the book for you. Just be careful not to feel a demon touch your neck!
