I LOVED the Hummingbird Way by Sherri Lynea Gerek. It's one of the most thoughtful looks into self-improvement that I've read lately, and believe me, I'm ALWAYS trying to find better ways of improving my life. Tools utilized by Gerek are timeless factors for being your best, and can be applied to any person of any culture, class, or walk of life. There wasn't some drastic push towards improvement, it was just a gentle nudge here, there, and everywhere that gets the reader to wake up, and when they do, they realize their full potential. Sherri Lynea Gerek is responsible for the true guide into creating motivation, creativity, and a thriving, wonderful lifestyle that encourages people to just be who they were always meant to be! The Hummingbird Way may just be the answer for those who are searching for a better life.

I felt like Gerek was my own personal cheerleader, both spurring me on to do what needs to be done, and a guide and inspiration with words of encouragement to get you through your low points. The book was a combination of empowerment, self realization, and just thoughtful passages encouraging you to think about stuff you never really have before. I loved the idea of incorporating nature, and looking at nature as a way to change your life for the better. It reminded me of how actors attempt to emulate animals to really create a character or to create dynamic motion. The same thing can be applied every day to better your own life! Kick your energy into high gear, and find a new way to be the best 'you' that you can be. It's all here in The Hummingbird Way.
