The well-balanced dialogue and narrative make this a fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat read. Woolworth captures the essence of New Orleans, making it an essential read for anyone who loves a good detective story with a historical twist. The author’s note is intriguing as Woolworth explains how the story came about. Whether you’re drawn to the enigmatic pirate Lafitte or the compelling dynamic between Bo and Bruneau, this novel promises an engaging and memorable journey through time and crime. It’s a story worthy of the big screen!
