The Letter by N.D. Byma is a cute little story about a young girl who wants to write a letter to someone special but cannot put her words down on paper. She sits on her favorite bench in her favorite park; she tries going for a walk, but even then nothing much comes for her to write. She suddenly remembers that she left her piece of paper on the bench. An old woman, who finds the letter blown up against a tree by the wind, writes a few words. She leaves the paper on the bench and it flies away. A girl riding on a bike finds it and she adds a few words to the letter. By the time the little girl finds her piece of paper, it's complete with the kind of words she wanted to write.

It's a beautiful story that will strike a chord in the hearts of all young readers. The author's idea in this story is unique. He introduces readers to different characters in the park as they find the little girl's piece of paper and put down their words. The illustrations are strikingly beautiful and breathe life into the story and the characters. They complement the author's thoughts and words very clearly. The book is good as a bedtime storybook for parents and grandparents to read out to their kids and grandkids. This absolutely charming book is also a good way to introduce kids to the concept of writing letters to the ones they love and care about by putting their thoughts on paper.
