Author Biography

Rebecca grew up in St. Anthony, Idaho, graduated with a degree in Interior design from BYU-Idaho, and has been active in theater and music for many years.

Always looking for a challenge, she began writing in 2008 when she got a crazy idea for a story, and has never looked back.

In addition to her love of writing, she also enjoys acting, singing, running and spending time with her family. Of course, writing about interesting and flawed characters is her favorite thing, but she does take time to feed and clothe her brood when they cry loud enough. Mom still loves you best, kids.

Rebecca resides in Utah with her husband and five children and can be found in various corners of the house typing like mad on her laptop.

Did you ever wonder what if you had married the other guy? What if I could fix my past mistakes? Well, Marlo Leavitt gets that chance in the “Sand Bar” by Rebecca Bryan. The book begins with Marlo driving home from San Francisco to her childhood home in a small Idaho town. She is suffering from the humiliation of a marriage that went very wrong and coming home to a town she was glad to leave behind. Upon her arrival she immediately meets old boyfriends Luke and then Brandon and begins her “what if” ruminations. An old woman gives Marlo the chance to get a glimpse into how her life might have been and we the readers can’t help but become her cheering squad as she finds herself married to one man but remains in love with the other.

"Sand Bar" is a wonderful book. Rebecca has easily earned a five star rating. "Sand Bar" captures your imagination and pulls you right into the story. It is a warm and fuzzy love story with a good mystery tossed in. The characters and the details in "Sand Bar" become real friends and real places. It is hard to put the book down and you feel some sort of disappointment when you reach the end because your friends are leaving. This may be the first book that Rebecca Bryan has written but it has all the ingredients of an excellent book. Rebecca Bryan has zoomed to the top of my favorite authors and I am anxiously awaiting her next book.
