Don Blackwell is the Executive Director for the Gospel Broadcasting Network. He has served as the minister for churches of Christ in Bankston, AL, Statesville, NC, and North Charleston, SC. He served as Director of Broadcasting with Truth for the World in Duluth, GA, from 2002 to 2006, where he produced television and radio programs that were heard around the world. Don received his BA in Biblical Studies from Southern Christian University and his MA from Liberty University. After separating from the active duty Air Force, Don attended the Memphis School of Preaching, where he graduated in 1996. He is the host of the World Video Bible School DVD series, The Truth About.

The Truth About Moral Issues by Don Blackwell is a book dedicated to help share advice and insight on the moral issues that face people - young and old - in this day and age. While mainly focusing on issues that youths tend to be faced with, this book reads well for anyone. Beginning with Tattoos and Piercings and ending up with what one must do to be saved, Don Blackwell goes through the figurative ABC's of behavior and getting back into God's good graces.
This book is a decidedly Christian themed book, and is an accurate representation of traditionalist Christian values. Christian parents no doubt will consider The Truth About Moral Issues to be a must-read for every one of their preteens and teenagers. While told in a dry tone of rhetoric, the passages themselves contain a sardonic wit that will not necessarily leave you laughing out loud, but will certainly have you raise an amused eyebrow.
I really liked some of the chapter art. It was clear that the artists were moving in a creative direction with the pieces and I really enjoyed that I wasn't sure if it was digitally rendered or drawn using colored pencils -that's the mark of a good artist right there! As a young preacher himself, Don is a pretty trusted authority in the area of morals within a Christian context, so it's wise to take his thoughts and opinions to heart. He backs up his ideas with quotes and analysis from the Bible, which helps to clarify things most excellently!
