Author Biography

34 years old. Father of 2 boys and a girl. Served in the United States Navy for over 15years.

Musician, songwriter, music producer and engineer, graphics designer (I designed all my own artwork for my music and books): nothing that screams author. But virtually all the folks I've met during my travels around the world, tell me the same thing, and that prompted me to write. That sparked lots of ideas for other books coming soon.

I've heard all the rants about not being able to find a quality relationship, I want to help people so I've put together this research to bring you the solution.

I spent over 8 years traveling the world and about 5 years compiling the research that is in my book.

Despite the erotic material I write, my husband has often told me that I am naive. Reading Mario River's book confirmed that I am. My husband treats me like his angel, and I have forgotten this is not so for everyone. It saddens me for the audience Mario addresses. His heart is reaching to the less fortunate than I.

If you are searching for politically correct relationship advice, fancy words with perfect grammar, and a book filled with words from a PhD's recorded scientific data, this book is not for you. Mario writes it as he sees it and speaks to his audience with a slang sort of youthful language. He uses phrases like: "my woman," "your man," "ratchet chicks," "swag," and "crib"- which by the way is not referring to an infant's quarters.

Mario Rivers speaks truths, words of wisdom about trust, confidence and forgiveness. He advises to let go of the negative baggage of one relationship in order to succeed in another. He speaks of this in Chapter 7 Baggage Claim. This chapter is excellent reading for the adolescent girl, single mother or for anyone considering entering a relationship with a person who already has children. Mario speaks fatherly in this chapter, and I can imagine him talking to a young girl who is growing up without a father. He gives sound advice.

Chapter 8 Sex & Intimacy is also noteworthy. The paragraph that begins: “Be your guy’s fantasy,” is exactly what Mario Rivers is referring to when he says “straight talk.” Mario is teaching to value the self as well as honor your lover in that specific paragraph, the entire chapter and book.

Some of Mario’s words will not be found pleasing, as he speaks mostly to women from a man’s perspective. The words are not politically correct, but his overall message is what is worthy of note. Mario wants to bring family values back to this country via harmonious relationships, and I believe his book is a step in that direction. I applaud Mario Rivers for the courage, discipline and determination of compiling his thoughts and experiences for such a noble purpose. I give The Truth: Keepin’ It 100: The Blueprint To Relationships 3.5 stars for its purpose of inspiring love, intimacy and healthy relationships - something I am already so blessed to experience.
