With This Witch, I Thee Dead by Bella Colby is the fourth book in the Wedding Witch mystery series. Summer in Tidewater is a beautiful time of year, perfect for weddings. No one knows that better than Skye, who has had her cauldron full with wedding after wedding. And now she has to deal with the wedding of a serial bride, which only becomes more complicated when exes keep showing up. Skye has experienced a lot of change lately, from a new boyfriend to new spells; she surely doesn’t have time for a murder investigation, too. But when she stumbles into another murder, she finds herself competing with her ex-husband to solve the mystery first. Searching through suspects and piecing together a clue or two could help her find the killer, or will it just draw the wrong attention?
Another mystery and another wedding keep Skye busy as the story and her life keep ramping up the plot twists. With the wedding comes plenty of drama, this time thanks to the complicated past of a serial bride. This creates fun, dramatic scenarios such as ex-husbands showing up with lots to say, threatening to ruin her happy day. Creating the perfect brew for chaos, Bella Colby proves that wedding mysteries are never boring and has fun playing with the matrimonial tropes. Once again, Skye is drawn into the murder mystery when she’s personally asked to investigate; however, this time around, she’s competing with her ex-husband. This creates a comedic undertone to the mystery as she works to find the killer first. Colby always knows how to balance sincerity with heart and suspense to bring to life mysteries that make people keep turning the page. For fans of Wolfie, the story incorporates an extra special treat. You’ll see more of his adorable charm and loyalty, though perhaps learn more about him with some fun characters. After each installment, his character always leaves you wishing your pet could talk to you. With This Witch, I Thee Dead is a humorous and delightful installment that proves the series just keeps getting better and better.
