It’s been almost a decade since that special night Gaby and Scott spent together and, unfortunately, it is a night they simply can’t forget. They have done the right thing, the adult thing, the mature thing, and decided that anything more than the one night would harm their friendship. But in 42 Hours, Scott’s friends step in to prevent him from marrying the spoiled and cold-hearted Victoria, who obviously makes him miserable. Gaby has her own guy now, the utterly adorable Brock who, unfortunately, just isn’t Scott. When Scott sees the light and gives Victoria her walking papers, he has one weekend to convince Gaby the time is right for them to have their own love story. Bethany Lopez has outdone herself with 42 Hours, a story full of love, passion and friendship.

There is something about a second chance love story that just sets you up for the warm and fuzzies and Bethany Lopez hands them out in spades with this tale. Both Scott and Gaby are doing well in their careers and have relationships that are more a product of necessity than any real feelings. The chemistry throughout 42 Hours is sizzling so that at times you’ll blush from just a heated glance. What I really loved, aside from their incredible friends, is that though the chemistry was great, it was so clear that Gaby and Scott made each other happy. He realizes he was last happy back when he was with Gaby and that’s something none of us could, or should, live without. The progression of this relationship was a thing of beauty and allowing Scott just 42 Hours to make it happen definitely upped the drama of the story.
