Cristy lays out a set of five steps which help to organize yourself in order to find the best answers, diagnoses, and treatment options available for your specific needs. Cristy explains the approach using S.T.E.P.S. as an acronym which stands for the different elements to the approach: Sensibility, Teamwork, Education, Patience, and Perseverance and finally Sustainability. After outlining each of the S.T.E.P.S. in detail, Cristy also gives a quick reference version to each of the S.T.E.P.S. called “Just Remember,” which helps the reader to be able to organize and perhaps even build a checklist for navigating through their treatment plan.
