I love how Barbara Kimball shares 50 Ways to Enjoy Life More, explaining each one in a way that really made me smile. I fly a lot for work, and her description of looking down from an airplane reminded me of how I have felt many times, looking at those massive, fluffy clouds and realizing how small we are in this big world. In that moment, the hustle and bustle is below, nothing pulls me in different directions, and I can simply enjoy being present. Barbara also talks about putting a rainbow of love around someone who might be irritating you. I love that idea because sometimes we allow little things to upset us when we could simply let them go. She explains what the different colors mean and reminds us that we can put that same rainbow around ourselves. There are so many little things throughout this book that make you stop and think.
I love how Barbara Kimball wrote 50 Ways to Enjoy Life More from her own life experiences. She survived polio, and I think that experience made her outlook on life even more meaningful. She most definitely learned that life is not always a bed of roses, but she did not allow her challenges to stop her from finding joy in life. I especially like how she reminds us to stop overanalyzing everything, listen to our inner guide, and learn to let go of things we cannot change. She touches on so many things we can all relate to, from faith and marriage to forgiveness, loving ourselves, and never giving up. I found her writing easy to follow, and so much of what she shared made me realize this book could help many people if they are open to learning, growing, and evolving. Sometimes we just need a little reminder to appreciate what we have and make the most of every day. I recommend this book to anyone who realizes that change begins with us acknowledging that change is needed. It begins with us, and having a guideline of 50 ways to enjoy life more is surely a great place to start.
