A Hope Restored by Emily Stalder Johnson is Book 3 in the series about Dublin. Dublin is the young man who escaped from his abusive father, due to the actions of a neighbor, Andy, who became the father Dublin needed. When Andy dies, Dublin sells the horse farm and heads out to Montana to look for his uncle, hoping that he will be kind and accepting of Dublin. Along the way, a young woman named Allie joins in the trip. While traveling from Ohio to Montana, Dublin and Allie face danger and adventure. They spend quite a time with Allie's brother and sister-in-law and nephew in Indiana. Will they find the family Dublin always yearned for in Montana?
I enjoyed the adventure that Dublin and Allie have in A Hope Restored by Emily Stalder Johnson. I loved the lighthearted relationship between Dublin and Allie. In addition, I enjoyed meeting Allie's family in Indiana, including the nephew. Those were all good, loving relationships between Christians. There was some suspense with Dublin traveling that far to an area as large as Montana, hoping to find his uncle. I particularly liked watching Dublin go from a scared young man to a mature, more confident man during the trip. I appreciated how they let their faith in God lead them as they searched to find themselves and their relatives. I liked learning about horses, their breeds, their coloring, and their care. The descriptions of the landscape on the trip from Ohio to Montana were vivid.
