This book has everything I read romance for, the time period is my favorite and Jackie Ivie's characters are complex. The dialogue is rich and even funny at times. The book kept me spellbound. I always love it when I feel like I truly start to know the characters, catch myself laughing or am anxious for the outcome. I did all that with this book and I look forward to reading other books by this author.

Every book I have read by Jackie is phenomenal. Her characters come alive. The time period and setting is one of my favs and I eagerly look forward to each book she writes. This one is definitely a "must read".
