If you want poetry that is touching, you will enjoy Decline or A Lonely Tear. Or if you are interested in a poem about social issues you will enjoy Decency. In this book, these poems will allow the reader to witness the creativity and literary prowess of a skilled poet. These poems will make you feel various emotions as you read the words on these pages. This book is ideal to enjoy while at the park or in the comfort of your home.

I'm a lover of words. I truly enjoyed this collection. Every poem that I read touched a part of me. I was able to see the rawness, emotion and passion that Ivan felt. While several of the poems spoke to me, one poem stood out: “Declined.” This poem laid the depth of love on a plate only to be rejected, yet the need for love and acceptance was the only desire. “Why in the hell do I keep trying? Why in the hell do I keep replying? I keep thinking why not try? Hell, I’m already hurting inside…..I try and she declines…..It frustrates my soul with how many times I tried to be there for her to silently hear no....” Now that's the power of words! Looking forward to reading more from Ivan Burke.
