Aaliyah P. Goes To Vacation Bible School: The Little Adventures of Aaliyah P. by Lucinda Weeks is another book in the series which takes young readers to Vacation Bible School at Wyatt Park Christian Church, along with Aaliyah and Grandma Cindy. Aaliyah was excited and scared at the same time because she had never been to a Vacation Bible School before. She did not know anyone there but Aaliyah was happy her teddy bear was going with her. She registered there and a girl named Bria, who did her registration, told Aaliyah that the boys and girls would be going on a real-life, make-believe adventure to a faraway tropical island. Aaliyah loved adventures. Let us go with Aaliyah on this adventure and see what happens there.
The story helps children discover the real treasures that are hidden in the Bible, about God's love, how Jesus died and rose from his grave, and many other wonderful things about the Lord and his love for mankind. This book is a good way to introduce children to believing in God, having faith in Jesus, and reading Bible stories. The illustrations are delightful and charming, just like the book, and will make children aware of what can be expected when they go to a Bible School during vacation. This is a good way to help children understand what happens in Bible Schools and the book can be used in Bible classes to help them understand the love and presence of God in their lives. Parents can keep copy of this book in their personal collection at home to encourage their children to read Bible stories.
