John Houston's Absolute Ibis Monarchy is a thought-provoking exploration of spiritual and philosophical themes woven into a narrative that challenges conventional views on governance, monarchy, and the divine. This work, part of The Ibis Trilogy, follows The Sacred Ibis Speaks and Ibis Initiation Time and examines the transformative potential of human consciousness. Houston writes with a poetic flair, combining complex theological concepts with a narrative spanning historical epochs and philosophical schools of thought. His ambitious attempt to reconcile the idea of a divinely ordained monarchy with contemporary societal needs is evident throughout the text. The book is a philosophical treatise and an imaginative speculation on the future of humanity under the guidance of a philosopher-king, a theme inspired by Plato’s ideal of governance.

John Houston’s vision is utopian. He foresees a world where harmony prevails under the rule of an enlightened monarch who acts as both a guardian of spiritual truth and a benevolent ruler. Though idealistic, this vision raises pertinent questions about the role of leadership in fostering societal progress and spiritual awakening. The narrative is rich with references to historical figures, mythological motifs, and esoteric teachings, creating a tapestry that illustrates the evolution of human consciousness and its potential culmination in a new era of enlightenment. Houston employs the concept of the philosopher-king as a political leader and as a metaphysical bridge between the divine and the mundane, suggesting a future where spiritual and secular leadership merge. Absolute Ibis Monarchy is an intricate and layered text that offers readers a scholarly vision of the future. It will appeal to those interested in alternative histories, spiritual evolution, and the philosophical underpinnings of monarchy.

I've known John Houston for over 45 years (both of us being Glaswegians in Scotland) I'm so glad his time has finally arrived. John like myelf have always believed that this moment would arrive.
Its also pertinent that his books are being published in the USA where the appetite for his work seems to resonate more.
John Houston has always been my favourite 'philosopher and mystic'. Time for the rest of the world to get on board.
