Pursuing or having more things doesn't necessarily make a person content. In fact, often enough, it has the opposite effect on a person's life. According to executive coach, speaker, and entrepreneur Tony Caliendo, "less" creates space for "more." With the cost of living rising, mindless consumption is a recipe for disaster. It's no surprise that stress and anxiety levels are on the rise too. In Less Over More, Caliendo offers keen insights that will change your outlook toward success and fulfillment. The author emphasizes the importance of thinking and wanting less. This allows us to create space to choose what truly empowers us and aids in our growth. You will also learn about the hidden costs and cultural drivers of more, overconsumption, the attention economy, redefining success, and finding freedom and joy through less.
Less Over More isn't your typical self-help guide. Instead of presenting just a bunch of steps to do, author Tony Caliendo actually wants to transform how readers approach success itself. I found myself agreeing with Caliendo's observations about how people go about measuring success. The book also takes a deep dive into how our environment and cultural upbringing shape the way we think about our goals and inevitably set us up for disappointment with unrealistic expectations, creating even more stress and anxiety in our lives. I also loved that the author shares his own life experiences to make sure readers fully understand the reasoning behind his thought-provoking ideas. It makes the book very engaging. All in all, it's one of the most practical self-help guides you will find in today's fast-paced world. Highly recommended.
