Author Biography

Kelly Risser knew at a young age what she wanted to be when she grew up. Unfortunately, Fairytale Princess was not a lucrative career. Leaving the castle and wand behind, she entered the world of creative business writing where she worked in advertising, marketing, and training at various companies. Currently, she works full time as an eLearning Instructional Designer, fitting her creative writing into the evenings and weekends.

She's often found lamenting, "It's hard to write when there are so many good books to read!" So, when she's not immersed in the middle of someone else's fantasy world, she's busy creating one of her own. This world is introduced in her first novel, Never Forgotten, and visited further in her second novel, Current Impressions. The third and final book in Meara’s story, Always Remembered, released on May 19, 2015.

Kelly lives in Wisconsin with her husband and two children. They share their home with Clyde the Whoodle and a school of fish.

In an absolutely fantastic read by author Kelly Risser, Always Remembered, Book Three in the Never Forgotten Series, we find ourselves on another epic journey with Meara Quinn, the lovely young woman we've followed all throughout this enchanting series. In this, the final installment, Meara finds that Evan has been kidnapped by the leader of the Blue Man Group, the sworn enemies of the selkie clan, of which her father is the leader. Finding a mysterious message written in blood, "Azuria," along with Meara's grandmother's necklace, Meara knows that Evan is trying to leave her a clue as to his whereabouts, but no one, not even her father or aunt, know what it means. The story continues from there, taking one twist after another and leading quite definitely to a battle between the Blue Men and the selkies that just might be the end for one of them.

I loved this book. Loved. It. I honestly don't know what else to say, except maybe that I would highly encourage any reader to pick up Always Remembered as soon as humanly possible and read it. Author Kelly Risser has done an amazing job in creating a world that the reader will feel a part of, characters that actually begin to feel like friends, and a story line that will keep you turning the pages from the start until the end. Always Remembered would be enjoyed by any reader who loves fantasy, or just an excellent work of fiction, young adult or not. I certainly hope that Kelly Risser is hard at work on her next novel, because I, for one, will be anxiously waiting for its release.
