Amy loved exploring fantasy, fairies, and more in her dreams. She took flight with her Snowy, her owl, once she jumped into bed. That night they went to the sea world, and Snowy had flippers and Amy's mermaid tail glittered in the evening light. There were corals shining on the ocean floor and more fish came to check who the girl was in their sea. The cheeky fish danced and turned, zipped, and dipped as they dived through the seaweeds. Amy met an octopus who told her of a cave with a line that should not be crossed and also told her about the bright castle with a guardian who patrolled it all through the night. As Amy swam forward, she saw a light, with a cave underneath. She met Meredith, a merdragon who invited her inside her glorious castle. She was introduced to her baby merdragons and they blew bubbles for Amy and Snowy. They told them to swim inside and float to the top. Amy and Snowy rose to the surface and bounced onto the sand. They knew it was time to go home.
Amy's Dreaming Adventures: The Underwater Paradise by Chrissy Metge is a magical adventure that will encourage readers to dream and take them on an enchanting trip to the ocean floor and meet the wonderful creatures that live there. Dmitry Chizhov adds to the magic and appeal of the story with his whimsical illustrations that breathe life into the story and the characters, and make them tangible to readers. It is a good storybook for read-aloud and storytelling sessions for children to get them acquainted with the beauty that abounds underwater. The rhyming verses add to the rhythm and lyrical feel of the story and give it a good pace and movement.
