Chris Trevellian is working on finishing his medical training when he discovers his old friend being arrested for inflammatory literature, which pulls Chris into the middle of an impending invasion after he’s taken into custody by the Intelligence Service. The world has various elements that factor into the conspiracy. Various organizations include the Intelligence Service, the FFN, and Gul’s men with each one pulling the characters into a thrilling adventure. The story is told from various perspectives with all the characters connected to each other. Each one is placed directly into a larger conspiracy and in the way of General Gul’s plans. Charles Remington delivers breathtaking elements of adventure as the story is character-driven in the way the characters all connect. Each plays a part in going against Gul while also facing their own personal journey. The Invasion of Lochambria is a thrilling read that delivers action-packed moments, stunning character adventures, and an amazing steampunk world.
