"Bitter Legacy" is a new Matt Royal Mystery by H. Terrell Griffin. The book is mostly told by Matt and this allows the reader to see everything through his perspective and really feel like they are part of the story.
Matt was looking forward to some time alone and to recharge. However his plans do not pan out. His best friend is shot and Matt learns his own life is in danger. His time is soon consumed with protecting his own life and trying to solve a mystery that has many twists and turns and many involved with it. The Black Seminoles play an important role in history, and the history of Florida. Matt endeavors to help, but will it cost him his life? This story is fast-moving and will keep the reader turning pages!
This book is filled with vivid descriptions that make the scenes in the story come alive for the reader. The dialogue is well-written as well, and easy to follow. Mystery and history lovers alike will enjoy this book.
