Black Horse (Breaking Black Book 1) by Addison Kline is a romantic suspense with plenty of fire. Averi Ford has been best friends with Colt McClain since they were young. Now they are more than best friends, but Averi’s brothers are not happy about the relationship. Their parents and brother were murdered at the hands of Black Horse, or Tom McClain – Colt’s father – when Averi was just five. Twenty years later, Black Horse is about to be released from prison and he is going after Averi. She testified against him and he wants revenge. Colt wants to keep Averi safe from him, but she will not run and hide. Can Colt and Averi’s brothers put aside their fight to keep Averi safe? Or will Black Horse triumph again?
Black Horse (Breaking Black Book 1) by Addison Kline is a fantastic story. I was hooked from page one and could not put the book down until it was finished. The plot was so well thought out, the characters were developed in depth throughout the story, and it was so well written that I defy anyone to give it up without finishing it. From the start, this is a thrilling ride, a real tale of murder with a dash of romance thrown in – a large dash! There are plenty of twists and turns and a lot of ups and downs with it and I really didn't want it to end! This is one riveting book and I definitely want to read the next one.
