When a building in Washington, D.C. is hit by a massive explosion, leaving behind hundreds of casualties, law enforcement authorities flood the crime scene in search of answers. The FBI, DHS, and the Metropolitan PD are under pressure to quickly and conclusively wrap up the investigation as the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected POTUS is due in two weeks. Foreign intelligence agencies hint that Black Sun, an international Neo-Nazi movement, is behind the attack. But that is not all. Black Sun has a grand plan underway to bring the US to its knees and enforce a new world order. In their arsenal is a lethal weapon from World War II, one which, if unleashed, will mean Armageddon for the US. Marko Zorn, a former military veteran turned Metropolitan PD Homicide Detective, has been tasked with uncovering the identity of Black Sun’s mysterious leader and stopping the looming threat. Forced to go undercover as a rogue cop, Zorn must race against time and do whatever it takes to accomplish his mission. With his life on the line, will he pull it off? Find out in Otho Eskin’s Black Sun Rising (The Marko Zorn).
Otho Eskin’s Black Sun Rising is a must-read for lovers of gripping, fast-paced conspiracy thrillers blended with high-stakes drama, high-octane action, crime, adventure, and more. Weaving an ingenious plot, Eskin features an exciting and compelling, dynamic cast. The edge-of-the-seat suspense, cliffhangers, and jaw-dropping plot twists hooked me. The evocative depictions brought the scenes to life on the pages. It felt like I was watching a Hollywood espionage thriller starring a younger Brad Pitt. I got swept up in a whirlwind of extremists, assassins, sleuths, murder, power, money, deceit, betrayal, gossip in the Capitol corridors, and covert ops. Eskin has a knack for paying just enough attention to detail not to bog down the pace. I relished the sharp, lively, character-driven conversations, which kept shifting from upbeat and witty to urgent and tense. They gave depth to the cast’s conflicts, emotions, and traits, allowing me to connect with them. This white-knuckle page-turner will grab you by the scruff of your neck, drag you forward, and only loosen its grip at the final word.
