In Bondwitch: Hybrid by Chelsey M. Ortega, Marianna and her sister, Annamaria, arrive at their grandmother's house. Their grandmother isn't happy to learn that Marianna, the heir of the witch coven, has a new identity. Moreover, their grandmother doesn't approve of Annamaria's boyfriend because he is a vampire. Now that Marianna is a vampire, her status as an heir might change. After hearing some news about the future of the coven leadership, the two sisters learn that one of their betrothals is about to be broken, and the other will remain in place and must be finalized. Unfortunately, Annamaria is about to learn the extent to which her grandmother is willing to go. After some unforeseen events, the two sisters realize they must find a way to escape their grandmother, and Annamaria must somehow end her arranged marriage and take control of her life.
Bondwitch: Hybrid by Chelsey M. Ortega is an enthralling paranormal romance. It is an intriguing, fascinating, and well-crafted novel about two sisters caught in a new reality where their grandmother has control. They must learn to take back their lives and find a new home. While the beautiful relationship between these two sisters, whom I relentlessly rooted for, drives the plot, this tale is also a captivating mix of magic, romance, and suspense featuring vampires, witches, and shifters that amazed me until the end. Bondwitch: Hybrid is the sequel to Bondwitch and is a tale of sisterhood, found family, tradition, forbidden love, heartbreak, rules, rejection, danger, and change that I highly recommend to all paranormal and romance fans.
