It is time to tidy up! Help Brandon tidy up in Brandon Tidies His Bedroom by Luke Mathius Harlow. Brandon's room is a mess. Daddy is not happy. Daddy says it is time to tidy his room. But where does he start in such a mess? First, he should tackle the largest mess in the bedroom, his bed. Once he is finished making his bed, Brandon starts on the floor. Only, with smelly laundry, books, and games all over the floor, it is so messy, he can't see the carpet. How will Brandon get his room back in order? Will he be able to do it on his own? Or will he need help? What should he do next?
Brandon Tidies His Bedroom by Luke Mathius Harlow is book two in the Brandon's Books series. Fun, with color images, this book is a great way to help children learn how to tidy their bedrooms and keep them clean. Taking the child through a step-by-step process, it shows the child how to break down seemingly monumental tasks to achieve their goal. In this case, a clean room. The perfect book for the child that has a tendency to become overwhelmed with having to clean his or her messy bedroom. I found this book fun to read. What a wonderful idea for a series! It is a cute book that empowers the child, encouraging them to become happy little helpers. I would recommend this book to children 4-6, as it is aimed at younger children, though some older kids may find it fun and helpful as well.
