Capture Tomorrow (Volume 2) by Ann Heathman is a suspense romance novel in the Tomorrow series. This is a book and series that would appeal most to a mixed audience of mature young adults and adults who enjoy romance mixed with danger. Arianna Garrett and Zach Acevedo have faced danger together and it has created a strong bond between them, but Arianna wonders if she really knows who Zach is. Zach worries about his relationship with Arianna as his job as a CIA special ops forces him to keep secrets from her, and leads to him leaving suddenly for assignments without being able to tell her much of anything. Yet, the couple will need their bond to be as strong as possible because when Arianna’s documentary on women in the Taliban goes national, it places both of them in real danger. Will the danger that comes allow Arianna to truly learn about who Zach is and what he does, or will it drive a wedge between them?
Capture Tomorrow (Volume 2) by Ann Heathman reminded me a lot of the TV show 24 except with more romance mixed in. I read this book without reading the first in the series and, while I missed out on how the couple came to know each other, I felt that it did not in any way stop me from enjoying the story. Instead, the author did a wonderful job in explaining any elements related to the first book so I did not suffer from any plot confusion. I really liked how Arianna Garrett and Zach Acevedo developed not only as individual characters, but also as a couple. The danger they were put in from the broadcast and the possibility of Zach being found out added a nice element to the plot that truly allowed the relationship to evolve. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I plan to check out what other books Ann Heathman has written as I really like her writing style.
