Capturing Christmas by Shanna Hatfield is a Christian romance that gives us a hunky, manly rodeo stock contractor, a fiery, spirited redhead, and the blizzard of the century. Celia McGraw is a fearless redhead, determined to be the best rodeo photographer she can be, but it is hard to be taken seriously in her male dominated world. Kash Kressley is a workaholic in love with the rodeo who is too busy for anything that resembles a life. But when he first sets eyes on Celia (after rescuing her, of course!) it is love at first sight. Celia isn't so sure. She toys with Kash, playing cold before warming up to him, only to turn cold again, and Kash is twisted into knots over his feelings for Celia. Can the two get over their past hurts and meddling family members to connect with each other and hopefully find true happiness?
This is a really sweet, genuine romance that readers will love. I have read Shanna Hatfield's other works in this series and each new book continues in the vein and tradition of her last work. This story is no different. The Christmas element is fun and makes the reader feel like they are experiencing that magical time of the year. Readers will relate to Kash's past heartaches and his complete head over heels love for Celia. But they will also understand Celia's hesitation, and the reasons it takes her so long to give in to Kash's charms.
