Claws and Conspiracies is A.R. Walls' first book in her up-and-coming paranormal romance series. This story is of the reverse harem genre and centers on Eliza and her three mates as she begins her transition into their world. Being human most of her life, Eliza finds herself dumbstruck when she wakes up each morning with torn bedsheets. But like a lot of us, she pulls up her big girl pants. Enter Derek, her unbelievable hot night guard, whose smirk seems to leave her only with questions and very few answers. Aside from this budding attraction, her workplace blows up and all eyes are on her. On the run now, she turns to Derek because he holds the key to proving her innocence.
Where do I begin with this book? I am so mad at A.R. Walls right now. Claws and Conspiracies ended on a cliffhanger and I am longing for the next book. Each of the main characters had a point of view, which I loved! It gives you as the reader a little more insight into their minds and how they’re feeling in a situation. There were a few times when events in the book left me with questions, and I thought that there were some major holes in the plot, but those questions were answered! With most paranormal books which focus on werewolves, authors tend to stick to tradition and add their own spice. With some fast pacing in the plot developments, the story was beautifully written. I can’t wait for the next installment!
